About Rollo

‘’Rollo’’ started his career touring as a circus clown touring the U.K. with Tony Hopkins ‘’Circus Fiesta’’ in 1987.

Since then he has worked as a compere, entertainments manager, comedian and of course a children’s entertainer.

Rollo (previously known as “Reggie Mental") has appeared in cabaret venues all over the UK and in Europe. Performing at Hotels, Old Tyme Music Hall, Holiday Centres and of course Theatre.

 

He has also appeared as a guest entertainer for P&O cruise line’s luxury ships ‘Azura and Ventura’’.

Rollo has appeared as the support act for the “Guvnor of comedy ‘’Jimmy Jones’’ theatre show and has appeared in summer season alongside a host of performers including "Duncan Norvelle".


His real love is pantomime and has played most comedy roles.

Pantomime credits include: Aladdin at the Central Hall Theatre, Chatham, Jack and the Beanstalk, Aladdin, Snow White, Wizard of Oz & Dick Whittington all at the Cresset Theatre in Peterborough. Snow White and Cinderella both at the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks. Jack and the Beanstalk & Peter Pan at the Pavillion Theatre, Worthing. Dick Whittington at Searles Resort,  Hunstanton. Aladdin at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax. Peter pan and Snow White at the Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering, Cinderella at the Middleton arena, Middleton & Snow White & Cinderella both at the Civic Theatre, Rotherham, Buttons & Wishee Washee at BlackFriars Theatre, Boston, Wishee Washee & Idle Jack at the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe, "Buttons" at the Forum in Barrow and the muni theatre in Colne and most recently as "Buttons" in Cinderella at the Albert Halls in Bolton.

He is still very much in demand as a children's entertainer as well as touring his comedy cabaret on the Warner hotel circuit.


Rollo  is held in high regard by his fellow performers and in 2007 was elected into the world’s most exclusive show business fraternity ‘’The Grand Order of Water Rats’’ Rollo took the title of ‘’Baby Rat’’ from Iron Maiden drummer Nico Mcbrain and in 2009 Rollo was voted ‘’Rat of the year’’ for all his charity work.

He has also had the honour of being added to the Panto Hall of Fame which can be seen on the Panto archive website.
